Tom Vroman

Tom Vroman is a renowned artist, designer and businessman. His creative spirit began at an early age with a passion to discover and create artful images through his designs, illustrations and paintings.

As an artist, designer and businessman, Tom worked in New York City for many years early in his career. He founded Thomas Vroman Associates as a Design and Marketing Communication firm. Striving to find a creative environment, Tom located the firm in the remarkable and bucolic "setting" of Gaines, PA. He housed the firm in a quaint barn-like building containing the latest equipment technology. He fulfilled the vision of being able to offer clients very high quality design and communication support on a very cost effective basis. Using sophisticated technology, Tom eliminated the barriers of distance and time to support the needs of clients regardless of their locations.

Tom was born in Olean, New York. He attended the Beaux Art School in Paris, graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and began a career of painting, which has won him numerous awards from art organizations the world over. In 1974, along with Norman Rockwell, he was chosen as one of the thirteen leading contemporary artists in the United States.

During World War II, Tom applied his artistic talents to highly unique projects needed to fulfill the direct requirements of General Eisenhower, General Bradley, General John Lee and others. He was a member of an elite team assigned to the Intelligence Unit of the European Theatre Headquarters. Tom's paintings have been selected by the U.S. Information Agency, State Department to tour Russia in exhibitions, and his work has been exhibited in France, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. He has taught at the University of the Arts and Temple University.

Five daughter have inspired his illustrations and the texts for delightful children’s books, and his intricately detailed paintings have appeared in The Saturday Evening Post, Holiday, McCall’s Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, Venture and many others. He has co-authored a book entitled "Design Sources and Resources". Additionally, he has had many feature articles in graphic art publications and does work for leading industries.

What he believes in?

When you spend just a few minutes talking with Tom Vroman, it becomes very apparent that Tom brings his creative and design passions to every aspect of his life and makes the translation to his business.

Being highly creative isn't just a skill that Tom possesses, it represents his very essence. He believes that being creative on a breakthrough level separates those that evolve art and designs to those that lead and inspire.

When Tom works with a client he believes that the first order of business is to completely understand the philosophy and vision of the client. Only with his understanding of the client will the client in turn better understand and be receptive to Tom's creative design solutions.

Tom believes that applying his creative talent requires the discipline and an organizational structure to deliver results within time and budget constraints. Certainly, this belief is validated by the many years of successful projects.

Tom believes that his commitment to "do a project" means to keep his word and to deliver the highest quality product or service. This is only possible because he is attentive to detail while always keeping a system perspective.
