The “RFP’ process is a system used to obtain bids (proposals) by invitation made by a prospective offeree to a prospective bidder. The prospective offeree is "inviting" specific written offers from vendors, suppliers, and contractors before awarding business to the most desirable bidder. Most businesses, and nearly all government agencies require RFP's before deciding on a vendor.
